PopCap Games announced today that 20 years computing veteran, Martin Gannholm, will become the companies newest employee with the newly created title of vice president of engineering.
“Martin will oversee a single organization comprising multiple teams, responsible for a quickly expanding portfolio of technology.” said PopCap Games CEO David Roberts. “We’re delighted to have Martin joining our management team and overseeing our engineering efforts, which are far-flung and ambitious.”
The Swedish developer is coming from Microsoft where he was the senior member of Microsoft's business software division. Gannholm has also worked at Apple, with its HyperCard and Newton divisions.
PopCap hopes that his experience in web based design and knowledge of five languages can help the company to reach some solutions for its new web-based initiatives.
