EA Supports Casual and Social Gaming

Electronic Arts has created EA Blueprint, a strategy to find and support independent developers through funding and project management in the development of games based on EA’s intellectual property.  The games developed are intended for casual audiences and will populate social networks and sites like Facebook.

Notable names working in the group are Neil Young, former Los Angeles general manager for EA, and Alan Yu, EA’s director of artists.  The group is also partnered with the Creative Artists Agency, one of Hollywood’s top talent agencies.

Some of the top games currently on Facebook were developed by independent developers and EA’s Blueprint will help them capitalize on the expertise of these independent developers.
