PopCap and Nokia Join for Multiplayer Fun

Nokia and Popcap Games have announced an agreement that will allow PopCap games onto Nokia's SNAP mobile platform. Chuzzle will be the first game to be released and will have multi-player gaming capabilities such as chat, leader boards, and more.

"Downloads of our mobile games continue to grow rapidly and we have learned that consumers are increasingly looking for on-the-go games that allow them to interact with one another," said Andrew Stein, Director of Mobile Business Development, PopCap.

"To help meet that growing demand, we’re happy to cooperate with a company like Nokia that shares ourvision of bringing engaging and fun casual games to the mobile mass-market along with a proven track record of efficiently distributing and hosting connected mobile games," said Stein.

The recent press release did not comment on what other games may be coming to the platform.

PopCap has announced that the first announced games will be on the platform in late 2008.
