I-PLAY AND ALIASWORLDS ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR DEVELOPMENT DEAL

Press Release

New York, NY—Oct. 22, 2008—I-play, the world’s leading multi-platform casual games publisher and a division of Oberon Media, today announced a multi-year casual game development deal with Aliasworlds Entertainment, a casual game development company, at Casual Connect Kyiv 2008.  As part of the multi-year agreement, Aliasworlds will develop a minimum of two games per year for a minimum of three years.  This is I-play’s second multi-year development deal in Eastern Europe, having entered into a similar agreement with Floodlight Games last year.  Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Eastern Europe is at the epicenter of casual game development right now.  At I-play, creating connections with talented and innovative developers all over the world is an integral part of our success, as well as an important aspect of our future”, said Don Ryan, COO, Oberon Media, I-play’s parent company.  “This new multi-year deal with Aliasworlds is just further evidence of our commitment to forging mutually profitable long-term relationships with the best casual game developers in the business.”

Under the terms of the deal, Aliasworlds will design, develop and deliver two casual gaming titles for I-play within the next year.  I-play will be the exclusive distributor of the games developed across multiple platforms.  The announcement follows a similar deal that I-play announced with Floodlight Games last year and is one of many long-term developer relationships the company has in Eastern Europe and Russia.  In 2007, Oberon Media, I-play’s parent company, acquired two Eastern European casual game developers-Friends Games and Kenjitsu.  Both Aliasworlds and Floodlight Games are both based in Belarus.

“As the leading multi-platform casual game publisher, I-play has the unique ability to leverage our gaming titles across multiple platforms”, said Dmitry Misko, CEO, Aliasworlds Entertainment.  “We are delighted to partner with an industry leader like I-play as their unparalleled distribution gives our company exposure to more people in more places and on more platforms than with any other partner.”

Aliasworlds has already created three successful titles for I-play:  Turbo Pizza, a game which finds Robert and Rebecca on a quest to build a successful restaurant franchise; Turbo Subs, follows the team as they try to create lucrative sandwich shops in and around New York City; and Turbo Fiesta, an interplanetary action-packed adventure that follows the series’ heroes as they do their best to serve south of the border cuisine to impatient and hungry patrons at warp speeds.  All titles are available now for PC download at www.iplay.com, as well as other major casual games portals.
